[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/george_eastman_house/3334087942/)Since October 2013, an initial version of the [Data Deposit API](http://thedata.harvard.edu/guides/dataverse-api-main.html#data-deposit-api) ([SWORDv2](http://swordapp.org/)-based) is now available and [documentation can be found in our Dataverse Network API Guide](http://thedata.harvard.edu/guides/dataverse-api-main.html#data-deposit-api).

For those interested in trying the Data Deposit API <http://dvn-demo.iq.harvard.edu/dvn/> is a good place to test.

In addition to integrating with OJS, the Data Deposit API is now supported by the ["dvn" R package](https://github.com/leeper/dvn/issues/1). We are also actively working with the [Open Science Framework (OSF)](https://openscienceframework.org/) to integrate the Dataverse Network with their system via a [Dataverse add-on](https://github.com/CenterForOpenScience/openscienceframework.org/issues/112). OSF has already requested additional non-SWORD API features, which we are tracking [here](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/3316).

In other important project news, coding for the [OJS plugin](https://github.com/jwhitney/ojs) is nearing completion and will be ready for beta functionality testing with OJS journals November 2013. If you are interested in participating please [contact us](mailto:support@thedata.org).
